Returns Policy

Last Updated: 25 September 2026.

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Interlaced Cycles. This Returns Policy explains how we handle returns, faulty products, special and personalised orders, and workshop services.

Our voluntary returns policy is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect those rights.

Change of Mind Returns?

All of our purchases are made in our physical shop. Although we are not legally required to accept change-of-mind returns for products purchased in-store, we offer a 14-day returns period for non-faulty products.

To qualify for a return, the product must be returned within 14 days of purchase, unused, in its original condition and with all original packaging. You will also need to provide proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, your refund will be made to the original payment method.

Bicycle Returns

Bicycles are included in our 14-day change-of-mind returns policy.

A bicycle returned unused and in its original condition can be returned in accordance with the conditions above.

If a non-faulty bicycle has been used, we will inspect it before accepting a return. Where we agree to accept the return, reasonable costs required to restore the bicycle to a clean, safe and saleable condition may be deducted from the refund. This could include, for example, cleaning or replacing components that have become worn through use.

This does not apply where a bicycle is being returned because it is faulty. Your statutory rights apply in those circumstances.

Change of Mind Exclusions

For hygiene, health or safety reasons, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns of certain products once they have been opened or used. These include:

  • Helmets

  • Locks

  • Bottles

  • Nutrition products

These restrictions do not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty.

Special Orders and Deposits

We may take a deposit when ordering a bicycle or other product specifically for you.

If you change your mind before the product has been shipped to us, your deposit can be refunded where we are still able to cancel the order with the supplier.

Once an order has been shipped or can no longer be cancelled, please speak to us and we will explain the options available based on the circumstances.

Personalised and Custom Orders

Products that have been personalised or made to a customer's individual specification are not covered by our 14-day change-of-mind returns policy.

This may include bicycles ordered through the MyO customisation programme, particularly where personalisation such as a customer's name has been added to the product. Where a MyO or other custom-order product has not been personally marked or engraved, we may choose to accept a change-of-mind return at our discretion, subject to the product being unused and in a condition that allows us to resell it.

This does not affect your statutory rights if a personalised or custom product is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.

Faulty Products

If a product is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, please bring it back to us with proof of purchase so that we can inspect it and help resolve the problem.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods and receive a refund.

If a fault is identified after 30 days but within six months of purchase, you will generally be entitled to a repair or replacement in accordance with your statutory rights. During this period, a fault is generally presumed to have been present when the product was supplied unless we can show otherwise.

After six months, you may still have statutory rights, but you may be required to show that the fault was present when the product was supplied. Where a repair is appropriate, we will arrange this at no cost to you and deal with the relevant manufacturer or distributor where necessary. If a repair or replacement is unsuccessful, impossible or cannot be provided within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you may have further statutory remedies, including a price reduction or the right to reject the product, depending on the circumstances.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.

Workshop Services

We want our workshop work to be right.

We provide a 30-day workmanship warranty on our servicing and repair work. If you believe there is a problem with work we have carried out, please contact us or bring the bicycle back to us within 30 days and we will inspect it.

Where the problem relates to our workmanship, we'll put it right at no additional cost to you.

Your statutory rights in relation to services carried out without reasonable care and skill are not affected by this policy.

Cycle to Work Purchases

Returns and cancellations involving Cycle to Work purchases must follow the process set by the relevant scheme provider.

This will typically require you to contact your employer or Cycle to Work provider before we can process a cancellation or return.

We currently work with providers including Cyclescheme, Cycle2Work and Green Commute Initiative. The process may vary depending on the scheme used.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method.

The time taken for a refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
